born in rome (italy) on may 14, 1969, saverio tenuta graduated in painting at the "academy of fine arts" in rome and begun working as an art engraver and advertising graphic.
his first works in the comics field have been short stories and covers for several italian publishers, using different tecniques and styles.
after a specialization year at the "international school of comics" in rome he started teaching comic-book courses at the same school.
during the same period, tenuta collaborated with a slew of publishers: cierre (on arthur king), universo (on intrepido), tattilo (on playmen comix), general press (on il corvo presenta), rcs (on 2000 giorni al 2000) and phoenix (on laida odius and italia XXIII secolo). for phoenix he also published his first graphic novel, cold graze - risvegli di ghiaccio, written by otto gabos.
